Since the early days of Seba Dynatronic, a consistent corporate philosophy has ensured the continuous and successful development of the company: Founder Dr. Herbert Iann was already driving technological innovation and consistently focusing on new and further developments. Soon after the company was founded, he expanded the company's portfolio to include the production and development of measurement technology for leak detection in drinking water distribution networks. This was followed by devices for pipe location (1960s), fault location devices for power cables (1970s), and for telecommunications cables (1980s). The first fully equipped power cable measurement vehicle was delivered in 1971, and the company continues to set standards in this field to this day.

The children of the company's founder, Dr. Max Iann and Adriane Iann, who continued to run the company after his death in 1995, also remained true to this philosophy. Securing technological leadership was and remains crucial to the company's success. Research and development therefore play an exceptionally important role: around 95% of all SebaKMT® products are developed in-house. The company therefore also attaches great importance to user training. Since the mid-1990s, SebaKMT® has been offering its customers practical seminars on the latest devices and methods for leak detection, network monitoring, cable fault location, and cable diagnosis at its own training center.

Since 2012,SebaKMT® has beenpart of the British Megger Group, a leading global supplier of measurement and testing equipment for the energy and water industries. This merger laid the foundation for the Baunach-based company to continue its successful growth, expand its market position, and become even more internationally oriented: even before the takeover by Megger,SebaKMT®'sexport sharewas around 70%. Together, the companies now offer a unique range of test equipment for the energy and water industries and have a global presence.
